About Dynasty Mode: a free college football coaching career game

Dynasty Mode is a free college football coaching career game you play in your browser. You take over any FBS program, call every play on both sides of the ball, and try to build a dynasty across as many seasons as you can survive.

Your first season starts from the program's real current depth chart, so you inherit the roster that team actually has. From there it is yours: snaps turn into stats, stats turn into player growth, and the offseason hands you recruits, the transfer portal, and a roster you have to rebuild every single year.

It is meant to be hard. The CPU scouts your tendencies and counters what you keep calling, and nothing rubber-bands to keep games close. Win and the hot seat cools. Lose and it climbs until you are coaching for your job.

Common questions

Is Dynasty Mode free?
Yes. Dynasty Mode is completely free, with no paywall, no ads, and no trial. You can start a career without signing up for anything.
Do I need an account to play?
No. Your career saves automatically in your own browser, so you can close the tab and pick it up later. An optional free account exists only if you want to back that save up, and it gates nothing.
Which teams can I coach?
Any FBS team. Your first season starts from that program's real current depth chart, so the roster you inherit is the roster the team actually has.
Do I call the plays myself?
Every one, on both sides of the ball. You read the defense before the snap, pick your counter, and set risk and tempo. On defense you read their formation and set your focus. There is no sim-to-the-end button.
Is there a playoff?
Yes. A full regular season leads into your conference championship game, then a 12-team College Football Playoff, then the national title game.
Can I get fired?
Yes. A hot-seat meter runs from 0 to 100 and moves with your results against expectations. Let it reach the top and you get a win-or-walk ultimatum, then the door.
Can I play on my phone?
Yes, the whole game runs in a mobile browser. On a computer you can also use the keyboard: number keys call plays, space taps the timing meter, and Enter continues.
Does the game get easier if I am losing?
No. There is no rubber-banding. The CPU scouts your tendencies and counters what you have been calling, so leaning on one play stops working.
